The hang gliding club run at the airport has well-trained pilots possessed of the appropriate qualifications, who welcome passengers for most of the year and at suitable times of day to show them a bird’s eye view of the settlements and woods of Veszprém Country. Some of the most beautiful countryside in Hungary is to be found in the Bakony Hills and the Balaton Uplands, and these are rightly popular with lovers of the hang gliding sport.

A hang glider is only suitable for transporting one passenger in addition to the pilot. The weather has a decisive influence on the flight. It can be unpleasant for inexperienced passengers on very windy or very hot days. So it is worth planning a time carefully, and arranging things with a pilot by telephone in advance. Flights can only be enjoyed between sunrise and sunset.
